Berry Picking!
My little boy is tucked tight into bed, worn out from a day of berry picking, he was so tired we decided skip a bath tonight, so he looks like the true boy that he is. His legs are stained with a nice blue tint from sitting on patches of blueberries, and he has little red splotches on his hands from shoving handfuls of cranberries in his mouth. He has plenty of little scrapes from walking through the bushes, and even a couple scrapes that I'm surprised he didn't make a peep about and I didn't even notice them until tonight, including a nice cut on his knee. We weren't very successful in our hunt, we maybe got a cup, but we enjoyed a beautiful fall day with some nice company, and Wyatt now has a belly full of berries!

First Haircut!
Wyatt's hair was starting to get a little long, especially in the back, so we decided to give him a haircut! We sat him on our dining room table and Justin fed him some fruit. Well the fruit didn't last very long and then he was squirmy! So, we turned to a treat he has never had before...oreos, love at first bite. So two oreos and 15 minutes later we now have a very handsome little boy!!

Rain Rain Go Away
Well, it is definitely fall. The leaves are slowly starting to change, tomorrow is the first day of September, and...the rain is here. It rained all day Sunday! Justin was at work so Wyatt and I spent most of the day couped up inside. We read just about every book he owns, some twice. We played chase, we played ball, we made funny faces and sung funny songs, we danced and wiggled, but still...we we're bored. So we decided to put on our puddle boots and venture out into the rain. Wyatt had a ball, the rain didn't bother
him one bit so we played outside until Justin came home from work! Hopefully the rain will be moving on in the next few days and we can enjoy a beautiful dry fall. Especially for Wyatt and my birthday week coming up soon!

Spending Wednesday Staring Out the Front Window
Since Wyatt has figured out that with the help of my step he can climb up on the bench in front of our front window, that is exactly where he wants to be! He wants to see the action and what's going on outside. Plus he is so cute so I can't resist taking pictures of him.

Jeez that's a long way down!
On another note, I started back to school this week and Wyatt had a blast staying with his Aunt, Uncle and Grandpa. The funny thing is that he didn't mind AT ALL that I wasn't there! A little sad for me, but it is also nice to see that he is so close with my family and comfortable with them. This semester is going to be a lot of work, but as a young girl in one of my classes said "Well at least you don't have to work and do school, you're just a Mom..." Yep...I just smiled at that comment. Even though I love being a Mom, it is definitely work!

Final days of Summer
Summer is quickly slipping away up here, and our temperatures have been steadily droping, a very unwelcome change. I do love fall though, I'm just always sad to see summer go. But September is almost here and it's going to be a big month for us! I'll be starting back to school again September 3rd, which means I won't be with Wyatt during the day! I'm really bummed about this but I need to work on my degree! He will be in good hands though splitting time between Daddy, Grandpa, and his Aunt Heather, he probably won't even realize I'm gone. The other big change in September is that we will no longer be parents to a baby, our little boy will be turning 1!! Sad and exciting at the same time. Lately he has been thriving, he's walking everywhere, talking more, climbing, and working on tooth #6! Whew! As summer draws to a close though we have been trying to spend time outside soaking up what is left of the sun! Here are some pictures.

Adventures in Mommyhood
It's funny how even the most mundane things become fun and interesting when there are the sticky fingers of a 10 month old involved. Here is our week in pictures.
Big sticks are always a good find

Growing a mustache is hard work

We couldn't think of what to make for dinner so we had cooked Wyatt
Tune in next week for Wyatt and Mom earn their Ph.D...
